What types of Abrasive are available ?
To be honnest there are many types. All have different effects on the surface of the material you are blasting. Afcourse you can try and find your abrasives by trial and error. Or you contact us, for help and explanation.
To start, the most often used being:
- Steel shot (= round) and steel grit (= angular) in various hardnesses, dimensions and compositions (such as stainless steel and steel)
- Cut wire (stainless steel and steel)
- Glass beads
- Aluminium oxide in various purities
- Ceramic abrasive
- Nutshells
- Plastic
- Sand (not regular sand due to the presence of free silicium dioxide)
- Soda
